Tara Wieter is a Connecticut-based children's book illustrator, attending Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design.

Tara believes there is meaning in memory, warmth in nostalgia, and comfort in understanding. Her work embraces the weight of what lies in our hearts, both light and dark, while preserving the imaginative and playful sides of life. Tara's ten years of experience as an early childhood educator have allowed her to cherish youthful explorations and curiosities, emulating what evokes and makes up these experiences within her illustrations. Tara strives to create work that stirs these nostalgic and poignant feelings in people of all ages. Using texture and vivid color palettes, she creates captivating illustrations that intrigue viewers to engage in what will be an experience of relatable emotion.
